vigils and protests spearheaded by university students on campuses across the nation. remember, what many of these young people have lived their entire college lives in the past three years under some form of lockdown. just imagine all of that pent-up anger in frustration. steven jeong, cnn, beijing. and just a short time ago, our selina wang was at one of these extraordinary protests in beijing. i am in the center of a protest beijing right now, they are chanting that they don t want covid tests they want freedom. they have been chanting this for hours. people have gathered here in the center of beijing to protest the covid measures. we are in district, the city center. this is also where authorities have urged people to stay at home because of the covid outbreak being so severe here. the area is also important because this is where the american embassy is over here, there many foreign embassies over there. there is a heavy police presence. i am surrounded by police.
