The
Families of Alaska Flight 261 will again honor their family members whose lives were lost on board Alaska Flight 261 on January 31, 2000. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s memorial will be held virtually.
The
Families of Alaska Flight 261 are so grateful that the City of Port Hueneme has agreed to work with them to safely host a memorial at the monument site using a video stream to share the location’s beauty, and to continue with the memorial services for family members and colleagues at Alaska Air Group in Seattle, Washington. “Over the years, the Ventura County community has always been there to support us, and this year’s memorial service again shows us the compassion and caring by so many individuals and organizations.”
