To get each player’s “monster stat” score we added together their single-season career-best averages for each of the five major categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks). It didn’t matter if the career bests for different categories happened in different seasons. Assist averages were multiplied by 1.5 before being added to the total. There was a requirement of at least 10 games played in the season in which a career-best was counted.

But that usually isn’t the case, experts say.
In fact, experts and law enforcement officials say many victims of hate crimes don’t report the incidents for a variety of reasons, including fear, denial and embarrassment.
