ILOILO CITY, April 21 (PIA) – The implementation of Iloilo’s biggest irrigation development project Jalaur River Multi-Purpose Project Stage II (JRMP II) continues to gain momentum and is ahead of its target.
A press report from the JRMP II Public Relations Team, citing the Project Management Office, said that for the first quarter of 2021, the over-all physical accomplishment of JRMP II, considering both Government of the Philippines (GOP) and Loan Proceed (LP) components, is recorded at 37.83 percent.
According to the report, this is 6.11 percent more than its target for the same quarter which is 31.72 percent.
This P11.2-billion project development, said the report, supports the battle cry of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – as chief implementing agency, for a continued implementation of essential irrigation development projects and programs amidst the pandemic with the official tagline #TuloyAngDaloyNIA.
