One in five Generation Z members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or any other sexual orientation besides heterosexual, according to analysis of a national survey conducted ahead of the 2020 presidential election. Steve Urquhart s Spiritual Trip

In 2020, former Utah State legislator Steve Urquhart founded a religion. Their sacrament? Magic mushrooms. Urquhart calls his church The Divine Assembly. Its members believe that taking psilocybin, the psychedelic compound found in certain mushrooms, brings them closer to God. Urquhart served 15 years in Utah’s state legislature as a conservative Republican and a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
