The traditional July 4th fireworks show in Cambridge, Boom-A-Rama, will return to the City Park this year, Mayor Tom Orr announced during the Cambridge City Council meeting this week. However donations are needed to pay for the event.
Each year businesses and residents donate all the needed funds to pay for the fireworks. Approximately $20,000 is needed to cover the event and the city only has about $8,000 at this time.
Those wishing to donate can contact the mayor s office at 740-439-1050 or the City s Parks Department at 740-432-3287.
The fireworks were canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
