Center for People in Need give out free Thanksgiving Food Items

People in need of food had the opportunity to pick up various Thanksgiving meal items like turkey, chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, desserts, and many others Saturday and Sunday as well as today.  The Center planned for around 2,000 to come, a number they knew would be high, but wanted to plan for just incase.  They expect around 1500 people will have come to the Center to partake in the event.

Ed Further to recent letters from Phil Jordan and Steve Sheridan about town and parish councils, I wish to raise the issue of the reality that on the Isle of Wight there are 33 parish and town councils and in the 2021 May elections only 11 have contests in some or all of their wards and only Bembridge and Sandown have contests in all their wards.

This from Conservative candidate, Steve Sheridan, Ed Mr Jordan seems to believe that voters are so dumb that they won’t realise that the person appearing on their voting slip for parish or town council without a party name is the same person whose name appears on the County Council voting slip which they will be handed at the same time. I think our voters are smarter than this and that nobody is having the wool pulled over their eyes.
