Churches across the Houston-area have had to reimagine traditional Christmas services in order to accommodate social distancing.
For example, at Lakewood Church, attendees must register online in advance of the 6 p.m. Christmas Eve service in order to get a spot.
In addition to the limited capacity, socially distanced service, Lakewood will stream the entire service online for families to watch from home.
Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston is taking a similar approach when it comes to Christmas services.
All masses are limited to a capacity of 450 people, and obligation to attend is still suspended.
