This truck belonged to Silas Hall s Transfer Line just after World War I. It was used for hauling freight from the NP (Northern Pacific Railroad) depot to stores around town as well as for other kinds of moving. The picture was taken in front of the railroad freight office. Before the truck, Silas Hal used teams of horses and wagons which he kept at 415 Main (now Washington Street). Lance Hoff had a career night. The Warrior junior swimmer set pool records in the 50 free (21.74), the 100 free (48.90) and helped the 200 free relay team – with Steve Piepgras, Dave Wise and Mark Schmitz – to a pool record (1:33.27). Hoff s 50 free time is fastest in the state this year, and his 100 free is second.
