Laura Moon will officially join the Las Lomitas Elementary School District governing board after a second vote to appoint her on June 14. The do-over came after the discovery that the first vote violated state law.
A special meeting is set for Wednesday so the Las Lomitas Elementary School District governing board can once again vote to fill Brian Ross set after learning that state law prohibits outgoing trustees from voting for their successor.
