it was interesting to watch the republicans respond to the speech right there on the floor. they actually did some negotiation. steve: it was like a focus group. ainsley: social security and medicare. pete: you know what, ainsley, i didn t hear a word you said. i will get my ear piece fixed. when i do i will respond. pete: pete, jen says a lot of that his wife will say i didn t hear, understand anything you said. he gets away with that we will have to work on that. his lifetime fy too. so the president doubled not only at the state of the union address, it kind of was an audition for his re-election which you think would be a no-brainer. but, if you look at the polls of late, you see the fact that america and democrats are not rallying behind the president even though, according to him, he is doing a great job with a ton of accomplishments. and last night even with his age after getting the job two years ago, i felt like it was an audition.
