Numbers out moments ago on the surge in ecommerce. 640 million spent online so far today, up 18 year on year we have Team Coverage with Courtney Reagan and Morgan Brennan. Courtney, to you first good morning good morning to you, carl so black friday certainly changed over the years, right, with the idea you can shop on thanksgiving day in the evening, you can shop online all the time, but its still going to be retails biggest day of the year somewhere between 30 to 60 of americans are going to shop on this black friday. Personally, i like trying things on and its really not that crowded right now, so i think weve had a good experience much easier to buy it and have it already rather than waiting for it to get here i went out last night with my dad. I like to get into the Christmas Spirit early, so as soon as thanksgiving dinner is done, yes, christmas, lets go out walmarts traffic was stronger than target, at least during the beginning of the door busters on thanksgiving day or night,
Until we get there, 78 in city. That is 10 above average. The record, 94 in 2003. The fog is shallow but making a move over the golden gate. Be careful if you are traveling there this morning. The fog filling in for most. Holding off on the santa cruz coast. That little low right there will work its way towards us over the weekend. As it does, it will lift the fog bank and cool down inland areas over the weekend. Another warm to hot day if youre inland. Around the coast and the bay, it looks a little cooler with 60s, 70s to low and mid80s. Sal, friday light or friday better than thursday. Okay. It is not light but it is better than it was yesterday. Especially in some of the key commutes, steve. 38 minutes, lets say, from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze. You say thats not great. But better than 60 minutes is what we had most of the week at this time driving through this area. Another 20 minutes before you make it on to the span from the bay bridge. San francisco itself, nort
Rehabilitation services, into victim services. So if this proposition passes the people, the voter, will ship to many resources and lower the amount of time that people can spend in prison for substance abuse, for petty theft, receiving stolen properties. Theres six lowlevel offenses that will change. And it will also make people who have went to prison for those crimes eligible for an expungement. And im really excited about it because after being released from prison 20 years, after rehabilitating myself and hundreds and hundreds of others, jeanne, ill be eligible to get an expungement or ill be eligible to clean up my record. I will be eligible to not be punished anymore for medicating my grief with an illegal substance. And incarcerated when i lost my son. And thats not just me. Those are hundreds of thousands of more californians. So im really, you know, like gung ho. Don ho for prop 47. Prophet, i think you mentioned a little bit the political ship is going on and you saw that in
Can be stable and get their i. D. And Social Security card where they can begin to feel welcome and they can begin to get back in touch with why am i here . What is my purpose . Even though i have been through all of these things what do i do with my life tomorrow, next year, next decade . Hadaway reconnect with my children . And some of the same things that we think about for our own lives as far as the further development. What will i be doing in 10 years . Where do i want to work . Where do i want to play and how do i get to rebuilding my life . How do i become a part of a policy system . How do i become a voter . You know, how do i get my life back in my dreams back in my goals back. Some of the things that we need to be thinking about are what do we do to support those coming back home to become constructive members of our community . To be useful and productive in our world. And in a new way of life thats her whole purpose. Thats what we do with the women that come their is just
I think that polls have shown us that americans the people no longer want to see these numbers and these institutions built. Theyre looking at other ways in order other ways to handle people with Mental Health issues and drug addictions, which really drive the numbers in our prisons and in our jails, but i think that what we have done over the last three decades is really built this mass incarceration vehicle that has driven and driven and driven the numbers of men and women and children into the systems and now were realizing that its not working, its broken, its too costly, its taking lives that we could handle differently. So, thats where we have landed. But the system keeps churning away. And i am very happy to see a proposition in california like proposition 47, that the people can go and cast their vote, and this machine will have to downsize. So, i think that its out of control. Irregardless of what we the people are looking at and wanting for our communities. Also i want to poi
