Rangers and Celtic contested a fiery battle at Ibrox on Saturday, and they could soon come up against each other in the transfer market.
Both sides are believed to be interested in Charlton youngster Alfie Doughty, and his manager has now confirmed that the player will soon be leaving the League One club.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made 41 appearances for the Addicks, having made his debut in August 2018.
He’s also been sent out for loan spells at Kingstonian and Bromley.
‘Not going to sign’: Reported Celtic and Rangers target rejects new contract

Reported Celtic target Alfie Doughty is “not going to sign” a new contract at Charlton Athletic, Addicks boss Lee Bowyer has told London News Online.
If the Hoops were hoping to keep their interest in an exciting young winger quiet, it’s fair to say Charlton owner Thomas Sandgaard has let the cat out of the bag.
Speaking to London News Online a few weeks ago, Sandgaard confirmed Celtic’s interest in the 21-year-old Doughty, although it seems Neil Lennon’s side aren’t the only Old Firm outfit in the race.

For a split second, as the video call loads and a face pops up on screen, the scene is reminiscent of a fan YouTube channel. But, in reality, it is the Charlton Athletic owner, Thomas Sandgaard, who is wearing the bright red home shirt on a sofa covered by a blanket emblazoned with the club crest, talking impassionedly from Colorado about grand plans, Guns N’ Roses and giving the League One side, for so long stuck in the mud, a much-needed facelift. “Gotta wear the team colors,” he says, smiling.
