it or not, than it actually was. i just thought to get safe and i didn t even think of supplies or anything. just tried to get out of the area. and then i was able to calm down a little bit and talk to people who fled to the same place and sort of settled down. reporter: so you re here as an english teacher and now you re staying in this middle school. what are conditions like here? obviously it s a shelter. but what is it like? they re doing the best they can to keep it clean. there are a lot of people running around doing different tasks. they re trying to keep the facilities up to the best standards they can, but it s not really working so well. i mean reporter: do you have food and water? we have food and water. the government or other businesses bring food and water pretty much daily. couple of times a day. and usually we have enough for everyone. reporter: you re saying that you re trying to find all of your friends at this point. have you managed to? and what sort of
