I began my teaching career after finishing my undergraduate work at Middlesex University in London, England in 1987. I have been a high school history teacher for the last 33 years; mostly teaching Advanced Placement European History, Advanced Placement United States History and Military History. In the late 1990’s, I completed an MA degree in Military History and from 2001 to 2017 I was part of the adjunct faculty at American Military Universi

The Robinson’s Furniture 65-and-older tournament softball team recently traveled to Tampa, Fla., for the ISSA World Tournament of Champions Senior Softball Tournament and came home a winner.
The team comprises players in the Olde Tymers Softball League, a league for players 60 and older that holds its games in Dagsboro. The team won five of six games in the Tournament of Champions, going up against four other teams from the U.S. that had previously won major tournament championships.

NTEA The Association for the Work Truck Industry adopted a climate change policy that continues the association’s commitment to facilitating productive use of alternative fuels and advanced technologies for commercial vehicles.
The policy explains the work truck industry is competing to become a positive force in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Further, it provides NTEA the opportunity to educate the public, regulators and legislators about how the industry is already putting in place solutions to society’s environmental concerns.

National Pavement Expo & Conference
At press time, the National Pavement Expo and Conference issued a statement saying the showrunners planned to proceed with the in-person trade show and conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on Jan. 20-23, 2021. The statement also said, “The health, safety and well-being of every attendee, exhibitor, speaker and staff is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and its potential impact on plans to host National Pavement Expo and Conference. Should the in-person event not be able to take place, we are looking at a virtual exhibit hall and conference experience to meet the needs of all industry stakeholders. Please check back for updates.”
