Hanif Kara
Structural engineer Hanif Kara is co-founder and design director of AKT II, a design-led structural and civil engineering firm in London.
Hanif is a professor at Harvard UniversityGSD and has lectured at KTH Stockholm and the Architectural Association School of Architecture.
He is a member of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture Steering Committee, sits on the ETH Zürich NCCR digital fabrication Scientific Review Panel and is a member of the UK Government s National Infrastructure Commission Design Group. He was also on the RIBA Gold Medal Jury in 2020 and the Sterling Prize Jury in 2011.
