With Memorial Day fast approaching, people across the country are looking to open their pools for the upcoming summer months.
However, the recent chlorine shortage and price hike sweeping the nation may jeopardize pool season for many.
In a Goldman Sachs report published in Yahoo Finance, analysts predict that chlorine prices are expected to increase 58 percent between June and August compared to last year.
In Connecticut, the chlorine shortage has been hit-or-miss.
Local stores like Shelton s Sterling Pool and Danbury s Nejame & Sons confirmed that they had chlorine tablets in stock, while Northeast pool chain Namco is currently out of stock of chlorine tablets.
