STERLING HEIGHTS Â Sterling Heights is inviting local veterans and their supporters to a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Sterling Heights Community Center, 40250 Dodge Park Road.
The Veterans Day Parade of about 2,000 vets, plus tanks, trucks and floats, takes place Sunday, Nov. 5. A 9:45 a.m. ceremony takes place at IBEW Local 58, at 1358 Abbott Street in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood.
STERLING HEIGHTS Plans are in the works to install new charging stations for electric vehicles near several buildings and parks in Sterling Heights, and officials say they also have a broader plan to make the city friendlier to those vehicles.
