Speed and Aggressive Driving Enforcement
The board accepted a $3,850 Speed and Aggressive Driving Enforcement grant from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
The purpose of the new program is to conduct highly visible, well publicized traffic safety measurements. The grant funds will be used for the Goodhue County Sheriffâs Office and the Zumbrota Police Departmentâs overtime enforcement addressing all traffic safety issues.
A need for an emphasis on speeding and aggressive driving arose during 2020 when law enforcement noticed a rise in excessive speeding.
Three detention deputies
Goodhue County Adult Detention Center will be hiring three new deputies for additional help.
