SAIPAN, CNMI (Saipan Tribune, Jan. 23) – An alien worker has filed a lawsuit against a businessman who failed to give him a job despite alleged promises he would get one in exchange for US$3,000.
Guozhen Guo, through counsel Stephen C. Woodruff, sued Mu Ched Park, also known as Mu Cheul Park, and Kairos Enterprises Inc., for fraud, breach of contract, and illegal collection of processing fees.
Guo asked the Superior Court to order the defendants to pay him US$3,000 in actual and compensatory damages, US$3,000 in restitution, US$40,000 in punitive damages, and US$6,344 in expectation damages. He also demanded attorney s fees and court costs.
