trauma. residents and neighbors were alerted by smoke alarms. the cause is under investigation. two people recovering after a small plane crash in calvert county. police say it went down around 6:30 p.m. last night at chesapeake ranch states airport. the plane was flying back from illinois and overshot the runway. the injuries are not life- threatening. the federal aviation administration is investigating the accident. one person is in police custody after a triple stabbing in the parking lot of a bar in white marsh. it happened early sunday morning at the sunset beach bar and grill. police said two men with stab wounds were taken to an area hospital, while a third victim reportedly ran from the scene. the man convicted of a high- profile murder of a hopkins researcher in charles village is appealing his conviction. the attorney for john wagner has filed an appeal of his clients first-degree murder case last week. although it is unclear what the grounds for the appeal were, a

cheryl that has latest. her name is noel and they hope someone that has holiday spirit and adopts her when she s brought back to health. she s a 3 month-old pitbull and her life was spared when the director got the word that she would be put down at animal control. they re uncertain about who owned the dog before, she was abused. she has a skin condition, it was ignored until now and it s apparent she was mistreated. you can tell she s timid, she s very shy. she probably did not have a lot in her life and was mistreated. when you put your hand up, she puts her head down. she was probably hit a lot. to let a puppy to get in this condition, it takes months. tough to see. it will take at least a month to bring noel back to health before she can be adopted. we ll tell you how you can help coming up. police are looking for a suspect in the shooting in southwest baltimore. it happened after 8:30 last night in the 2200 block of eagle street when police arrived on the scene,
