Fourth ‘Spiderman’ Burglar Terrorising Nairobi Residents Arrested Another serial burglar nicknamed ‘Spiderman’ who has been terrorizing Nairobi residents has been arrested. Kennedy Otieno Oyier, 27, has been scaling apartment walls in Kilimani and Kileleshwa estates, earning himself the tag ‘Spiderman 3’. He was arrested Sunday night following increased incidents of burglary in Kileleshwa, Parklands, Lavington, Muthangari and Westlands. Police said he had been on the run for weeks and had even changed his residence after realising detectives were on his trail. Oyier, who has been stealing electronics, money, jewelry, and other household valuables, led officers to his residence in Kawangware where they recovered 10 laptop bags, 20 flash disks, one television set, several motor vehicles parts, metal bars used to break into houses, and assorted electronic cables.

Serial burglar jailed for stealing underwear at NYS headquarters

Ochieng’ admitted to stealing Anthony Munene Njeru’s underwear, subwoofer and a claw hammer, all valued at Sh4,900 and handling the stolen goods after breaking into his house at dawn. He was spotted by a hawkeyed guard at the NYS headquarters who raised an alarm prompting colleagues to team up and arrest him. Njeru was still asleep when Ochieng’ was being apprehended shortly before 5am and he was not aware that his house had been broken into as he slept. The magistrate remembered having jailed Ochieng’ in 2016 for the same offence which he committed at the same place but at a different house when he was arraigned on Thursday last week.
