like? well, i think you can t underestimate the influence that stephen miller has on that subject of immigration, and there is plenty of evidence to point to that evidence manifested, no more recently than just a few days ago when the administration announced that those who are applying for a green card to be a resident here in this country and to have the legal right to work, would not be able to do so if they were a so-called quote/unquote public charge. in other words if they receive public assistance or benefited from the social safety netting in any way, shape, or form. stephen miller is looked at, the perception about stephen miller he s a nefarious type force that lurks in the west wink and pushes the president into these positions where the president, you know, he suspect quite the hardliner on immigration he makes out to be. i don t think that s necessarily the case. certainly white house staff is eager to downplay the idea that
gets. i imagine he ll be out doing both, putting all the attention back on trump as much as he can. molly, as you know, miller was a congressional aid at one point. what was his immigration policies like then and did that help him champion the cause within the administration? well, i would say they re very similar to what they are today given that his primary boss, i remember working with him back in the day, so to speak, when he worked for jeff sessions and jeff sessions point person to the press and jeff sessions has been a long-time critic of more lax immigration reforms. and has been a hardliner when it comes to immigration issues. if you look at the separating families at the border, that had stephen miller s hands all over it and jeff sessions was the attorney general at that point. i just remember when stephen miller was with sessions, when
