The Blue Hills Wind development in southwest Texas’s Val Verde County has attracted heightened scrutiny in recent months, with lawmakers and experts signaling concern that the Chinese project could be used as a cover for espionage and to disrupt the state’s power grid.
The proposed wind farm site is about 30 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border and near the Laughlin Air Force Base, the U.S. Air Force’s largest pilot training facility.

Chinese Communist Party Attempting to Latch Onto Texas Power Grid
DEL RIO, TX – A Chinese billionaire and alleged former general in the Communist Party of China will have to make other plans for his million dollar ranch after Texas legislators blocked him from building a massive wind farm.
According to KTXS, on May 26, Texas legislature has passed a bill blocking the construction of the Blue Hills Wind Farm that was planned to be built in northern Val Verde county on the Morning Star Ranch.
Morning Star Ranch is owned by Sun Guangxin, a former Chinese military official, who purchased 140-thousand acres with plans to build wind and solar farms.
