Peter Miniutti of Ashbury thought that American beer was only one step above water until I travelled there eight years ago and was pleasantly surprised how good the beer was produced at the plethora of microbreweries. Stay away from the mass-produced Budweiser, Coors and Miller and you can’t go wrong.
