James Sikombe, member of the charitable organization, Chingola Round Table Number 7 said the Chinese firm is committed to supplementing the Zambian government s efforts to look into the welfare of the vulnerable populations in Zambia. Government alone cannot manage to look after the well-being of people affected by various challenges across the country especially (during) this time of COVID-19, he said. The Chinese firm handed over the donations to the Makeni Refugee Transit Center situated on the outskirts of Lusaka, the Zambian capital on Monday. The assorted foods included mealie-meal, sugar, rice, and cooking oil.
