First doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered to Utah frontline workers © Provided by KUTV Salt Lake City The University of Utah Hospital administered the first COVID-19 vaccine doses in the state of Utah to frontline caregivers on Tuesday.  The hospital livestreamed the event on Facebook.  Christy Mulder, a MICU nurse at U of U Health, was the first person to get the COVID-19 vaccine. It s an overwhelming day, lots of emotions, excitement, joy. I m still trying to process it all Mulder said. I m excited that we re looking forward and that there s a light at the end of the tunnel. As they got the vaccine, the health care workers said they would recommend that other people get it to help stop the spread of COVID-19. They include Diana Navarrete, HCA, Maria Cuevas, EVS Worker, Stephen Hartsell, MD, and Brad Thompson, RT.
