Judge Stephen Harrop sentenced Simpson to 18 months of intensive supervision and disqualified him from driving for two years. Harrop also ordered the destruction of the utensils and weapon. He said normally the “good deal of harm, emotional and financial” that Simpson had caused would warrant reparation payments, but did not order any as Simpson was not in a position to pay. “The sentencing is dominated by the fact that you [Simpson] have been in custody for 405 days, well over a year,” Harrop said.
