Indigenous leaders in New Brunswick are disappointed after the provincial government recognized a day of mourning for the queen, but have yet to do so for the National Day or Truth and Reconciliation.
About 5,000 CUPE New Brunswick members are upset about not receiving retroactive pay which was included in new collective agreements with the province.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees has taken its demand for retroactive pay for provincial workers to the New Brunswick Labour and Employment Board.
Close to 3,500 employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees will have to wait longer to get back pay from the New Brunswick government.
