American Fling set the Buffalo Raceway track record for the two-year-old gelding pacers on Wednesday afternoon (July 13) by winning the $104,400 New York Sire Stakes for the freshmen in 1:55.1 over the fast track.
After three preliminaries of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes (PaSS) for three-year-old pacing colts, there are no repeat winners, as on Wednesday afternoon at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Layton Hanover and Energetic Hanover emerged victorious in their respective $69,179 divisions (June 8).
The “glamour boys,” the three-year-old pacers, were at Pocono for the Memorial Day Monday holiday card, competing in the second preliminaries of their respective events: three divisions of a $138,758 Pennsylvania Sire Stake, and four $20,000 cuts of the complementary Stallion Series.
