IGas Energy has become part of an academic - industry consortium called Net Zero RISE (Research Infrastructure for Subsurface Energy). Its aim is to repurpose existing onshore oil and gas infrastructure as research sites for carbon sequestration, hydrogen storage and closed-loop geothermal technologies.
IGas has agreed a Heads of Terms (HoT) with Iona, an investor with a long track record of successfully investing in UK renewable energy projects. Under the HoT, IGas and Iona will jointly develop utility scale solar farms in the UK.
