A Brevard Public Schools administrator has been named a finalist in the search for the new superintendent of Denver Public Schools.
Stephanie Soliven, assistant superintendent for secondary leading and learning, was announced as one of three finalists Friday.
Denver Public School District has 93,000 students. It it Colorado s largest school district.
Soliven has worked for Brevard Public Schools for 26 years, according to her LinkedIn profile, starting out as a teacher and serving as principal at Cocoa High School before assuming her current post in Jan 2017.
She holds a Doctor of Education, a Master of Education and Bachelor of Science in social studies education from the University of Central Florida.

DENVER The Denver Public Schools Board of Education has named three finalists in its search for a new superintendent.
DPS selected Alma Advisory Group, a national firm, to lead the search for a superintendent to replace Susana Cordova in February. There were ultimately 85 applicants for the vacant position, and the board’s goal is to make an offer and appoint a candidate by early June, according to a news release from the district.
