Most of Utah’s universities are returning to in-person graduations now through next weekend.
Weber State University is in the midst of 10 ceremonies for different programs through Saturday. The university is celebrating its largest class on record and the graduation of its first doctoral students ever.
“They have gone through so much the past 14 months in getting their education that this is really a very small payback for them to be able to celebrate,” said Brad Mortensen, WSU president.
The university announced on Monday that unlimited guests would be allowed, rather than just two. That’s because the good weather meant commencements could be held outside at Stewart Stadium.
