Executive for Glendale firm who stole $475,000 gets 2 years in prison

A former payroll executive caught in a nearly $500,000 embezzlement scheme after her husband discovered she was using his identity will spend two years in prison. Roeglin, formerly of New Berlin, pleaded guilty to all eight counts earlier this year and is serving two years in prison for concurrent sentences ranging from one to two years on the various counts. When she gets out, she ll face eight years of supervision. Roeglin, also known as Stephanie Lacher, ran the scheme from 2012 to 2017 while she ran payroll for Miller Home Care LLC, a Glendale home health care firm. According to court records a news release from the Department of Revenue, she created a false employee her husband and put him on the payroll but deposited the ghost worker s salary in her own bank account.
