RAPID CITY, S.D. Fork Real Café is a regular sit-down café with a mom-and-pop feel, but what is special about it is that customers are offered different ways to participate by either paying for their meal, paying it forward for someone in need or volunteering for their meal.

For anyone wondering what to give this Christmas or before the yearâs taxing end, thereâs new local multiplier effect in place: make a gift to the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Area and see its impact multiplied automatically.
Itâs because of a $1.5 million donation from Scott and Julia Jones of Pierre and Dale Larson of Brookings aimed at raising another $500,000 that was announced on Monday.
The matching will make a total gift of $2 million to the Boys & Girls Club for an endowment held with the South Dakota Community Foundation, according to a news release from Tad Perry and Jamie Farmen.

Scott and Julia Jones of Pierre and Dale Larson of Brookings have challenged the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area in Pierre to raise $500,000 for a $1.5 million match to the Club’s fund held with the South Dakota Community Foundation.
Former Club board member Julia Jones says the services this nonprofit provides the community’s families are more important than any of us realize. Because of the matching gifts, all community donations to the BGCCA endowment fund will be matched $3 to $1.
Stephanie Judson, SDCF President & CEO, says if the half-million dollars is raised within the community, the Larson and Jones match will bring the BGCCA endowment to $3 million. She says this perpetual will annually provide 4.5% of the fund’s four-year average value to benefit the mission of the Club
