OLD WASHINGTON - The East Guernsey Local Board of Education officially hired Chad Rosser as its new superintendent at a recent meeting. His contract is for three years.
The board also authorized the payment of Rosser for the months of June and July at his contractual daily rate not to exceed 10 days for transition purposes.
Along those lines, the board approved the resignation of current superintendent Adam Pittis, effective July 31. I very much appreciate my time here at East Guernsey, Pittis told the board about his six years as the district s superintendent. We re continuously growing.
The board thanked Pittis for his tenure at the school district.
Pittis resigns as E. Guernsey Superintendent, Rosser named as successor
OLD WASHINGTON, Ohio–Conducting their April meeting on line, the East Guernsey Local School District, Board of Education met in their regular April meeting Wednesday night.
After a brief executive session the board reluctantly accepted the resignation of Superintendent Adam Pittis, effective July 31, 2012, then unanimously approved appointing Chase Rosser to that position. Rosser was awarded a three administrative contract effective August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2024.
Pittis has been with the district for the past six years, and told the board he was sad to go, but looked forward to future challenges. He thanked the board, public, students, parents and staff of the district for their efforts over the years for the success that the district has enjoyed. Pittis pointed out that his future is closely linked to the successes at East Guernsey, and he hoped “to have made the district a little better th
