Outgoing Mountain Home High School senior Marcie Cudworth has received more recognition for her time as a Lady Bomber. Cudworth was presented on Tuesday with the Jim Holsted Athlete of the Year Award.
Cudworth excelled in three sports during her time at Mountain Home. She is a four-time All-State and All-Conference cross country performer with a pair of individual state championships in 2019 and 2020. Cudworth is also a three-time individual conference champion and helped the Lady Bombers win the team conference title four consecutive years and the state title this past fall.
Cudworth was also a top performer in track and field. On Thursday, she won the Class 5A state title in the 3200-meter run. In addition, Cudworth is part of a team currently holding the school record in the 4×800-meter relay.

The Mountain Home High School athletic program has announced another student athlete will compete on the collegiate level. Senior Marcie Cudworth has signed a national letter of intent to join the cross country and track teams at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
Cudworth is a two-time individual state champion for Mountain Home’s cross country team, and she helped lead the Lady Bombers to the team title this year. In May, she was selected by the Arkansas Track Coaches Association as a member of the Arkansas Track and Field All-Academic Team.
