Salisbury (population: about 32,000) is the biggest city on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It is in the center of the Delmarva Peninsula between Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, about two and a half hours southeast of Washington and two and a half hours north of Norfolk, Va.
