SVZ Projects says former Eskom official France Hlakudi still owes them money for the massive construction job undertaken at his private residence. Stephen van Zyl, owner of the construction company, says he is a witness in an ongoing investigation on the matter.
The Eskom Files show that Hlakudi attempted to hire a Kusile contractor to assist on the job, but the company rejected his approach. France Hlakudi, the former Eskom executive who spent millions of rand renovating his house in the east of Pretoria with money from a slush fund maintained by Eskom contractors, owes his renovators about R1 million.
