“After the match, I hugged each girl and told them you’ve got to be proud of the season we had,” first-year NIC coach Brittany Tilleman said. “We played with so much trust and energy when we’re on. Our practices help us compete for moments like this. It’s always been us against us. To do it against a team like that, we just weren’t prepared for that. Our season was a complete team effort and everyone involved. I’m sad to see the sophomores go, but I’m proud of them.”

A man who lost both parents to Covid-19 within six hours says knowing they are still together gives him comfort.
Daryl Gilley, from Sittingbourne, Kent, lost his father, Chris, at 22:00 GMT on 14 January, before his mother, Stella, died at 04:00.
The couple, who were in their 60s, contracted coronavirus at around Christmas.
Mr Gilley, 40, said: Covid is a horrific disease. We were all left numb. I wouldn t wish this on anybody.
Both Mr Gilley s parents, who lived in Queenborough, on Sheppey, died at the Medway Maritime Hospital.
Daryl Gilley, from Sittingbourne in Kent, caught coronavirus around Christmas and did not realise his parents were ill too until his father was brought into hospital.
