In August, Christian Peacock and his boyfriend were attacked for being gay, but their ordeal is over with the offender being sentenced to a life-lesson.
The teen who was charged with a hate crime for assaulting and taunting a young Sandy man as he hugged his boyfriend goodnight was sentenced Wednesday in Third District Juvenile Court.
Sandy Police said on Wednesday that they had arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of assault, alleging that he had physically attacked and used derogatory slurs against a gay couple early Saturday morning.
