Defence housing tenants have complained of leaking roofs and freezing homes in Linton Military Camp. However, one mother of two, who didn t want to be named due to fears of backlash, said the homes at Linton Military Camp were not up to market standards. “You could definitely feel the anger in the room,” she said. “The women kept stressing the poor quality of the houses we are in and [Michie] kept nodding and saying ‘yes’, but it felt insincere.” Renting there for more than three years, her children often suffered respiratory illnesses each winter. “Every year one, if not both of my children are hospitalised.”
