There was a huge cloud of white smoke and i got like a waxy substance on my glasses, and it was hard to clean off. I got it all over my coat. Reporter firefighters were considering evacuating some of the buildings in the area. But still, they didnt know what was going on. There was no steam pipe explosion. As you can see, it would be a with High Pressure steam in the street here in manhattan and water that might surround the pipe and not compromise it.
