there. and ithat is animating some of cain s supporters. i don t care what the guy did. i like what he says, i like the fact he s such an outsider i m going to give him some money. super pac supporting herman cain released a web ad today. here s part of it. now we re getting the high-tech lynching of a beautiful man, herman cain. what is known as the mainstream media goes for the ugliest racial stereotypes they can to attack a black conservative. well, obviously, that was limbaugh s voice. and they re calling it a high-tech lynching. they re playing the race card on this. what do you make of this? you know, what can i say? it s interesting that people like limbaugh, who always accuse the likes of me of playing the race card when i write about racism and its continuing
confirmed this amount. the national restaurant association said it will decide tomorrow whether to allow one of herman cain s accusers to issue a statement. so far the story isn t hurting herman cain at all in the pocketbook, fund-raising, or in the polls. the campaign has received more than $1 million in donations since sunday night. today kurt anderson, who now works for the perry camp, says he was not the source of the leak. and i didn t know about any of this stuff. and i didn t peddle it to any reporters. herman cain s campaign chief had strongly accused anderson yesterday, but today he backed off. until we get all the facts, you know, i m just going to say that we accept what mr. anderson had said and we want to move on with the campaign. but the campaign is still blaming the perry camp. and there is more. back in march of this year in a conference call with conservative bloggers herman cain was asked directly if he
problem for herman cain? your thoughts. it could not have been handled worse. if you were to design a way to turn, you know, a disaster into an utter catastrophe, this would be the way. this is awful. i think the answer to your question, though, i don t think there is anybody in the campaign who has the sense to say look, the way you deal with this sort of thing is you get it all out and you make it a two or three-day story instead of a two or three-week story or more, which it s turning into. this is appalling in terms of political kind of tradecraft. i mean, what political expert who s ever worked on a campaign before would advise herman cain that this is really the way to handle it, just shift with the wind and say whatever happens and do as many interviews as you can? meantime, the campaign vehemently denies new denying new details about the first two accusers and the allegations of a third accuser.
