In the band is singer Rhema Brown, 16, sister Victoria Brown, 14, who sings and plays drums, their cousin Roseta Le’au, 14, who plays piano, and bass player and singer Natasha, Vilivili, 17. Rhema and Vilivili have been friends for years. “We just formed our band at the start of this year, but with us being relatives and friends we have been used to each other in terms of performance,” Rhema said. The three relatives have sung together at family events, while Rhema was in a band with Vilivili when they were at Cornerstone Christian School. They had to perform two original songs, which Vilivili said was one of their best performances. They have to produce two more for the national finals.
