It happened around 3 40 this afternoon. An 80 year old man from westwood got on the pike at 19 at the he drove 3 miles the wrong way going west in the eastbound lane. You see from the sky 7 video he was in a silver cadillac that stopped when he hit the median separating traffic near exit 17 in newton. There were 3 other cars trying to avoid him that crashed into one another. Newton Fire Fighters ems and state police responded. They put him on a stretcher. Charges are pending. Reporter this is where it happened around 6 20 this morning on blue hill avenue. A young girl walking down the sidewalk on her way to school is approached by an older man who tries to kidnap. Approaching this young girl trying to grab her and trying to potentially pull her into his car. She was able to break free with the help of a passer by who was on the street at the same time. A neighbor told me who lives across the street around 6 15 girl screaming. She saw that young girl running up the street hysterical running away from a man walking in a different direction.
