LinkedIn is looking out for parents who’ve been caring for their kids and running their households.
The job-hunting site is making some updates and they’re adding the option to use “stay-at-home mom” and “stay-at-home dad” as job title options.
So now parents who’ve been doing those jobs can make them official on their online resumes. This will be helpful for moms and dads who may have had a gap in their employment history on their resume for the time they’ve spent being a stay-at-home parent and will give them an equal shot at a job they’re applying for. LinkedIn is also getting rid of their old requirement that work history had to be tied to an employer.
