Galaxy Tab S7 line picks up Quick Share improvements, May security patch
Just three weeks after seeing a major update that introduced a slew of new features and the April security patch, the Galaxy Tab S7 lineup is getting a new update that further enhances its security. Samsung has started rolling out the May 2021 security update for its latest flagship tablets in a huge number of European markets, with the new firmware sporting build number
T875XXU2BUE2.
In addition to all the fixes included in the May security patch (details here), the update brings improvements to Samsung’s Quick Share feature, which has been a common theme across updates for various other Galaxy devices in the last few weeks. Finally, the update improves overall stability of functions – that’s a fancy way of saying that the tablet should run more stable across the board once the new firmware has been installed.
Faulty Galaxy S20 camera glass leads to class-action lawsuit
Samsung is now on the receiving end of a class-action lawsuit due to a possible manufacturing defect surrounding the Galaxy S20 series. As some of you might recall, right around the time the Galaxy S20 series was being released a year ago, dozens of customers complaints were cropping up on the web to describe a potential Galaxy S20 design flaw that was seemingly leading to the rear camera glass breaking.
What made this issue that much more intriguing was the fact that all the complaints were describing a similarly unusual phenomenon, wherein the glass covering the main camera setup would crack without any force being applied to it. The affected phones haven’t been accidentally dropped, but rather, the glass was reportedly breaking on its own.
Galaxy S20 series starts getting May 2021 security patch
It is not even May yet, but Samsung has already started rolling out the May 2021 security patch to some of its high-end Galaxy phones. Yesterday, the Galaxy S21 series received the May 2021 security patch, and now the Galaxy S20 series has started getting the latest security update in a few markets.
The latest update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which includes the May 2021 security patch, is rolling out in Germany right now. The new updates for the three phones have firmware version
G98xxXXU7DUDB. Apart from the new security patch, the update also brings improved camera performance and Quick Share to the Galaxy S20 series.
Hmm, shouldn't that be the other way around? Actually - no. At least not until we launch a Biden fansite. In the meantime, behold: politics! - SamMobile
