Jordan Fernandez pleaded guilty to stealing the gold medal of U.S. Olympic women's volleyball team member Jordyn Poulter. He was sentenced to a year in jail.
The owners of Noel Barbershop in Anaheim say they found the medal in a plastic bag near their business. They were going to throw the bag away before noticing how heavy it was.
Jordyn Poulter, a member of the 2020 U.S. Women’s Volleyball Team, reported the medal stolen May 25 after her car was broken into at a parking garage in Anaheim.
