And in my research, i spent a lot of time at the National Hurricane center, and the meteorologists there who were incredibly talented kept telling me the same thing over and and over again and that was, you know, were just not very good at this. It happened around 2 30 this morning. The quake was centered a few miles southeast of berkeley. Anne makovec is live near the oaklandberkeley border this morning with the latest. Reporter yeah. Almost everybody we talked to has felt this earthquake to some extent. It woke people up all over the bay area. Im a couple of blocks from the epicenter now. Theres a Shopping Center here behind me. We have been peeking in all the windows. It doesnt appear theres any damage and we have heard no reports of real damage or injuries. So that is certainly good news. It was a 4. 4 about two hours ago waking people up around the bay area. Twitter was on fire reporting what they felt this morning. Again very quiet here near the epicenter.
